In the first cool weather game of the season so far, Bellevue matched up against Shorewood HS twice in a week. The first game last week on Monday was a surprise to Bellevue Varsity as they thought Shorewood would be an easy win to put into their portfolio.  Shorewood has consistently strong players who can shoot successfully from outside, and also break through to shoot from inside the 5 meter.  Bellevue managed to mostly shut down Shorewood’s players at the 2 meter line, with muscle from Aidric George, Bob Frazer and Tom Jamilov all wrestling …

On Saturday 9/16 Bellevue’s JV players entered the first of their weekend tournaments.  On Saturdays throughout the season High School JV teams from all divisions 1 – 3 meet at Edgebrook with each team playing two games.  Our JV’s (Freshmen and any players who have never played in a prior season) matched up against North Shore and Kennedy Catholic HS.  Bellevue beat North Shore handily with shots from nearly all our players and Bellevue lost to Kennedy.  Kennedy was either beating Bellevue on the fast break or they were just leaving a cherrypicking player down …

Bellevue beats SI, 14-5

A beautiful, sunny Senior Night capped off Bellevue’s last home game of the season, versus Sammamish Interlake. A wonderful turnout encouraged the Wolverines as they pushed against the Sirens to take the game, 14-5. Our Seniors, Lili Braun, Paige Heinemann, and Ava Grays, all got extra playing time during the game, and each girl finished the game having scored a goal!
