Their skill in drawing 5-meter calls was evident, as three of their goals came from 5-meter shots. By halftime, Bellevue with a 8-5 advantage. They continued their strong performance throughout the game, ultimately securing a 12-8 victory over the Royals. The match saw significant player rotation, double digit steals, and exemplary teamwork throughout the pool. In the Junior Varsity game, the Wolverines demonstrated strong defensive play with multiple steals and a huge block by Chirag, resulting in a low-scoring game that ended with a 5-3 win for Bellevue.
On Wednesday night, the Varsity Wolverines traveled to Kentridge for their second match of the season against the Chargers. The first half of the game was closely contested, with both teams displaying strong performances. However, in the third quarter, the Wolverines managed to pull ahead. The game was characterized by strong defense play, including 21 steals, with Ethan contributing 5, and a few impressive shot blocks. Bellevue’s sound defense restricting the Chargers to just five goals allowing the Wolverines to emerge victoriously, returning home with an 8-5 win.
