Wolverines’ Week of Highs and Lows: From Early Setbacks to Victorious Comeback and Team Spirit
The week started with the team’s first inter-division loss to Roosevelt in Seattle. The Wolverines faced early foul issues and offensive difficulties in the first half, resulting in an 11-22 defeat by a robust Roosevelt team. The JV squad also struggled offensively and lost 2-9.
On Wednesday, playing at home against Enumclaw, the team rebounded from their earlier loss and secured a 13-6 victory, with key contributions from swing and JV players.
The week concluded on Friday with some enjoyable activities as the Wolverines took part in their second 6-8 Challenge evaluation. Each player completed five different assessments, with parent-volunteers recording the results. According to one BHS WP player, “6-8 Challenge is super fun, helps me understand where I need to grow as a player, and during the assessment is a great time to bond with my teammates.”
