Bellevue beats Roosevelt, 24-4
The Wolverines challenged the Roosevelt Riders last night at Helene Madison Pool, and despite the technical difficulties with the dying clock, Bellevue prevailed scoring 24 points against Roosevelt’s 4.
This was a great game for all players, with every person getting some action. Lacey Aquaro led in goals, scoring 6 goals on 7 shots, with 5 steals, 2 assists, and 2 ejections drawn. Ellie Albert went 5 goals on 6 shots, assisting on goals 4 times, and had 2 steals. Ashley Kwon had 4 goals on 5 shots, on top of 2 assists and 4 steals. The twins, Kayla, and Kendall Fitzpatrick played amazing games, each having 3 goals, and Kendall having 3 assists. Props to Audrey Grays and Riley Neibert for their excellent goal keeping, among the two of them, there were 11 saves and 5 steals.
The first quarter was full of energy, with Bellevue scoring 4 straight goals in the first 2:33 of the game. Bellevue ended the quarter up 7-2. The next quarter was just as action-packed, and Bellevue went on yet another scoring streak, managing 7 straight goals in 3:39. The third quarter, the Wolverines didn’t cool off, earning two Rider ejections and scoring another 6 points. The last quarter cooled off, and Roosevelt did manage to get their final goal in, on top of another 2 goals by Bellevue. The game ended with a final score of 24-4 Bellevue.
This Friday, May 5th, Bellevue has their rematch game versus rivals Mercer Island, at Woodridge Swim Club @ 4pm. It’s sure to be a great game, so be there!
