Bellevue beats Sammamish Interlake, 13-1
The Wolverines continued their march to state through the cold and dark night at Samena pool, topping local rivals Sammamish Interlake, 13-1, bringing the season record up to 6-0.
Future-collegiate goalie, freshman Riley Neibert, rocked the cage this game, with an amazing 7 saves and 3 steals! Ashley Kwon made 5 for 8 shots on goal, with 3 steals. Lacey Aquaro also made 5 for 8 shots on goal, with 3 assists and 2 steals. Ava Grays held her own up top, assisting and stealing the ball for the offense.
In the first quarter Bellevue came out with a bang, scoring 7 unanswered goals. The Wolverines had so many steals, the police should’ve been called. In the second quarter, the girls kept their defensive pace, fending off the Redhawks for another unanswered quarter. Third and fourth quarters, the entertaining gameplay didn’t let up, leaving a final score of 13-1.
Bellevue has a big weekend ahead of them, playing a tournament at Rogers High School both Friday and Saturday. Games at 3:30 and 7:40 on Friday, 1:20 and more TBD by placement on Saturday!
