Wolverines Compete at Newberg Tournament
The Wolverines travelled to Newberg, OR on Friday, 28 and faced their first opponent, West Albany. The team was a little sluggish in the beginning, but made a strong comeback finishing the 4th period in a tie. A shootout ensued, but West Albany had the winning shot (9.4-9.5). Next up, the boys won solidly (11-2) against South Eugene. Saturday morning the team faced Johansen, from Modesto, CA.
This was the best challenge Bellevue faced in the tournament. It was a battle until the end with a loss for the Wolverines (5-7). The final two games had Bellevue playing well and having fun – Sunset (12-1) and final game vs Summit(14-7). The Wolverines played solid water polo improving with each game.
