Bellevue beats Kentridge 13-3 on Senior Day

In front of the Class of 2014’s family and friends on Senior Day, the Bellevue Wolverines defeated the Kentridge Chargers 13-3 on Friday afternoon at Woodridge Pool. Five Wolverine seniors — Sierra Anderson, Sophie Quynn, Sophie Pasewark, Lucy Stokes and Dayea Lee — were honored after the conclusion of the game. All five athletes were inaugural members of the Bellevue Girls Water Polo program.
The Wolverines jumped out to a quick 3-0 first quarter lead behind goals from Quynn and freshman Morgan Baker. The Wolverines put the game away with a 4-0 second quarter behind goals Baker and sophomore Nina Stash.
Second half scoring was spread amongst several Wolverines. Sophomore Maggie Ugelstad had two goals, sophomore Lisa Courtney had one, and Lee scored her first career varsity goal on a powerful post-up shot.
Lee’s classmate Anderson contributed nine saves, three steals and one assist in the victory.
