Wolverines roll past Shorewood, 8-2
Behind a standout performance from senior goalkeeper Garrett Moffatt, Bellevue defeated Shorewood 8-2 on Wednesday evening to claim its twelfth straight victory.
Moffatt anchored the defense with a season-high 17 saves. He also added three steals.
Junior Marco Stanchi led the offense with five goals on five shots. Senior Blake Evans earned two ejections at two-meters and scored his first career varsity goal. Freshman Jesse Hainze, making his varsity debut, added two ejections drawn and one assist.
Bellevue (13-3) returns to the pool tomorrow evening against Curtis High School in a rematch of last year’s state championship game.
