Bellevue downs Shorewood 22-3

On Tuesday night, the Bellevue boys water polo team traveled to Seattle and rode a 8-2 first quarter to defeat Shorewood High School, 22-3.

Junior Marco Stanchi led the scoring barrage with five goals. Five other Wolverines scored multiple goals, including four from junior Liam Naughton. Senior Stuart McClelland scored three goals and drew threee ejections from two-meters. Sophomore Zack Rossman added three goals.

Senior goalkeeper Diego Acevedo anchored the stout Bellevue defense with a season-high ten saves.

Bellevue (3-3) returns to action on Saturday against perenial power Auburn-Mountainside.
