Bellevue falls to Lakes, 10-4
Despite two goals each from freshmen Lillie and Sophie French, the Wolverines were unable to keep pace with Lakes High School and fell to the Lancers 10-4 in Bellevue’s first game since April 3rd.
Lakes jumped out to a 6-1 first quarter lead and never looked back as the Wolverines struggled to adjust to the Lancers’ physicality. The Wolverines kept quarters two through four close, but the early five goal deficit proved to be too much to overcome.
Freshman Maggie Ugelstad drew two ejections in the loss. Junior captain Sierra Anderson had eight saves and three steals in the cage.
Bellevue (3-6) returns to action on Thursday against league foe Bainbridge Island.
