Defense Stymies Inglemoor in Victory
Led by senior goalie Reed Hendrickson’s 12 saves, the Bellevue Wolverines shut down the Inglemoor Vikings and rolled to a 20-1 victory on Wednesday evening at Redmond Pool.
Behind its aggresive press defense, the Wolverines jumped out to an early 8-0 first quarter lead. By halftime, the lead was 14-0. In the second half, the Vikings had a number of shots on goal turned away by Hendrickson, who has allowed a paltry 3.9 goals per game through twelve contests.
Junior George French led the offense with five goals, while freshman Zack Rossman added four goals. Junior Stuart McClelland contributed five assists, while classmate Scott Bowers chipped in four assists. All nine Wolverine players scored at least one goal.
Bellevue (10-2) squares off against rival Newport on Monday at 5:30pm at Newport Hills.
