Bellevue Climbs to #1 in State Rankings

Thanks to its 8-5 victory over previously top-ranked Mercer Island last Monday, the Bellevue Wolverines have climbed to #1 in the latest boys water polo state poll.

With the loss, the Islanders fell to #2. Newport, which has struggled while its two top players have been sidelined, fell out of the rankings following losses to Bellevue and Roosevelt. No other North Division teams cracked the top 10.

Bellevue will have its #1 ranking tested on Monday, when it faces off with a full strength Newport squad.
