Unbeaten Wolverines Earn Early Season #2 Ranking

The initial state water polo rankings have been released, and the unbeaten Wolverines (7-0) check in at #2. Mercer Island tops the rankings, followed by 2011 semi-finalists Curtis and Auburn-Mountainview.
Here is what the Washington Water Polo blog has to say about the Wolverines:
“One might think that after graduating the majority of their scoring from last season that the Wolverines might be in for a rebuilding year, but great programs find a way to reload. An undefeated start to the season has Bellevue on a collision course with Mercer Island to determine north division dominance…”
Fellow North Division rival Newport earned a #10 ranking. The remainder of the list was dominated by South End teams. Bellevue plays its first game against Mercer Island on Monday at 8:00pm in an early-season clash.
