Bellevue Shuts Down Roosevelt, 12-2
On Wednesday at Woodridge Pool, Bellevue continued its early season winning streak by defeating Roosevelt 12-2 in a North Division league game.Senior captain Reed Hendrickson guided the strong defensive effort with 14 saves in goal.
Junior Stuart McClelland led Wolverine field players with five steals, while teammates Arlen Hughes and Scott Bowers added four steals.
Junior George French helped the Wolverines get off to a 6-1 first quarter start with a handful of counterattack goals and paced the offense with five goals. Sophomore two-meter Marco Stanchi chipped in three goals and two assists.
Bellevue (6-0) heads to Oregon on Friday for the Newberg Invitational Tournament.
